This 12400/F and B660 board offers excellent value. For instance, the Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5 GHz 6-core processor is available for $169.95 on Amazon, and the MSI MAG B660M motherboard costs $139.99 at Newegg. Combined, they total around $309.94 after shipping and taxes. All prices reflect discounts where applicable. This listing was created by PCPartPicker on June 27, 2022.

I noticed you're upgrading, I just replaced my 9-year-old AM3+ FX6300 with a newer model. The upgrade is 5600x, but I stuck with my CM 690II case.

I've been thinking about staying with AMD because the Ryzen lineup is really cool, but the 12th-gen Intel seems pretty strong. I just hope I can make it last another nine years!
