CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM: G.Skill DDR5-6000 CL28
Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX
Cooler: ID-COOLING SE-207-XT
GPU: RX 6800 XT (from previous system)
PSU: 1000W (current)
Case: Using existing one
Questions:
- Could there be any compatibility concerns?
- Is the DDR5-6000 CL28 suitable for this configuration?
- Will the SE-207-XT offer sufficient cooling for the 7800X3D?
- Thoughts on this upgrade plan (reusing GPU, case and PSU)?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! You're advised to stylize your thread with info asked of i this thread; *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice* How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice First off, respect where respect is due - this is an adaptation of the Animal's *How To Ask For New Build Advice* Sticky. I created this because there's a lot of posts nowadays asking for upgrade advice both on here and on the CPU forums, and I feel... forums. in order to help bring us up to speed with the context of your build, the budget you have, where you're located, your preferred site for purchase and perhaps some stipulations along the way. General thoughts on this upgrade strategy? What are you upgrading from? Why are you upgrading? Is DDR5-6000 CL28 optimal for this setup? Yes but you should be looking at ram that has AMD's E.X.P.O advertised on the ram kit. FYI, DDR5-6000MHz is the sweet spot for DDR5 platforms. PSU: 1000W (existing) What is the make, model and age of the unit? What did the PSU power throughout it's tenure? Case: Reusing current one Which is? Will the SE-207-XT provide adequate cooling for the 7800X3D? You should be fine.

I plan to switch from my i5-11400F to a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, focusing on CS2 and other online shooters/MMOs. The minor performance drops should be noticeable since the 11400F isn't as fast in newer titles.
My PSU is a Super Flower Platinum (exact model not remembered—needs checking). It's functioning well for about four years. My case is the Jonsbo D31 Mesh.
