You're planning a 3950x workstation for virtual machines. I found Dell's Alienware models with that spec impressive, but you're aiming for a more budget-friendly option. A 1030GT with 32GB RAM fits the bill. I attempted to find compatible parts through PC parts picker, but compatibility was a challenge. Your budget is under $3,000 CAD, so I'm looking for affordable system builders or DIY solutions. This setup is intended for a business environment—please let me know if you'd like help assembling it or recommendations for cost-effective builds.

The key benefit is highlighted. Ensure compatibility before proceeding. Some features may have physical constraints.

Great! Let me know your thoughts on storage size and type, as well as the wireless network you prefer. I’ll keep it quiet, with plenty of airflow and a gaming vibe. No need for a specific case—just what feels right.

Wow, 1.8k CAD for 3950X is quite a bit higher than expected. Is this really what you intended, or should we double-check the details?

It clearly indicates whether components function well together and suggests ways to simplify further.

It's not that easy when you're unsure about the distinctions between these elements and their significance.

In that situation he shouldn't be constructing a computer and should instead watch YouTube videos or use Google because he needs to learn more about computers. There are lots of resources online covering each part. He's actually active on the Linux Tech Tips forum—check it out for some helpful tech tips.

Thanks @Juular , Well the canadian supply of 3950x is low at the moment but hoping it will be better after the holidays. You can slap a 3900x for now thought and when comes purchase time ill change it for 3950x depending on pricing. 500gb to 1tb ssd , 2 tb of storage, most of it is on the NAS anyways, just need my vhds on the ssd. For aesthetics I don't give any care this is going in the server room, constant 20C in there anyways so yep. Looking for the most horsepower for the buck. Thanks
