Plan to OC/Aida64/Temps/
I intend to overclock my FX 8350 and R9 280x. Before starting, I considered running a stability check with Aida64. However, after more than an hour, I’m concerned something might be wrong...
I marked all the necessary boxes for a full system test. The status window doesn’t show a CPU test, only GPU and hard drives. According to HW Monitor, my temperatures are 35°C on the system, 41°C on the CPU, 31°C in the package, and 69°C on the GPU.
Aida64 indicates my CPU is at 100% load, but I’m not sure. Shouldn’t my temps be even higher during a stress test? I’m using a Corsair water cooling CPU unit.
I’m not an experienced PC builder, just starting out—any advice would be very helpful.
These readings don't look accurate because your CPU can't reach -41°C even with an AIO. Have you considered using another temperature monitoring tool such as Core Temp?
My apologies, I was employing a hyphen but now realize it implies negativity concerning temperature. Updated accordingly.
Of course, I'd still test another temperature software to verify consistency.
However, a fully loaded CPU at 41°C isn't too out of the ordinary given my OC i5, which is water-cooled and typically stays around 50°C.
Thank you for the reply. I verified the temperature using core temp and it matched. I ran Aida for 3 hours, which is longer than my usual gaming session. I plan to look at some OC guides on the forum to confirm I'm on the right track. Thanks again!
