Plan de protection pour les micro-centres
Plan de protection pour les micro-centres
I bought the 3090 two years back and have faced screen tearing issues after extended use. I contacted MicroCenter for a refund since the warranty is still active, but the GPU failed despite my explanation. They’re hesitant to test it further. Any suggestions or advice from them?
I checked the usual checks before heading to microcenter. Screen tearing wasn’t something I’d heard about as an uptime issue.
Have you experimented with another cable? Are you keeping the screen on continuously? Do you own a reliable power supply unit, and how recent is it? Addressing your original concern, please have your phone close by and begin recording the event. I understand MC’s reluctance to test your card in a controlled environment and hope you won’t encounter an issue soon, so you’ll need to prepare some research beforehand for this situation.
What version of the Nvidia driver are you using? I’m not sure if it’s the latest 551.23 or an older one, but I experienced severe screen tearing and flickering on my 3090 after updating to a newer driver while sitting idle. Rolling back to driver 546.33 resolved the issue instantly. It might help depending on your setup.
Wondering why someone would keep a game open for extended periods?
