I plan to use a 4x8 format overall since it’s hard to predict what comes next. Also, because I don’t close my Chrome tabs often, it feels important. Still, I’m definitely going to try video editing.
The 3700X would cost about 500€, mainly due to needing a new motherboard (Captain Obvious). I received the X99A and I7 5930K for free, so I’m sticking with those. It should work well for the next few years of gaming.
Actually I don't know if that was the correct motherboard because when you search up msi x99a their is the x99a ack and x99a 7 I got the manual for x99a ack @Joggy385

Still suggest opting for Ryzen since you mentioned video editing plans—unless you intend to use Premiere Pro, which Intel offers a feature not available on AMD. That could give you a smoother editing workflow, but unless you need Premiere Pro, go with AMD. A solid choice for the 3700X is the Tomahawk at around $115, totaling roughly $400, unless its price has risen recently for a better performance option.
That PSU handles the setup well for a 5930k and GTX 1060. I’ve used an 1660v3 at 4.5ghz and a Vega 64 without issues. Running a 630w Rosewill works too, as long as I keep the overclock voltage low. The newer GPU and extra cores should manage it as long as power isn’t too high.
