Pirated Games and Safety
Pirated Games and Safety
Hello. I don't back down from advising against downloading or playing pirated games. But I want to address your concern about safety. Some pirated games might include malware, viruses, or crypto mining activities. It's important to know if it's safe to run such games in a virtual environment using sandbox software that keeps the system files isolated and protects your PC. Are there any methods you're considering?
VM's are really annoying when it comes to working with games. I guess so as long as the game keeps running, even poorly, you can still use it to scan for malware. In general, you're taking a chance with pirated software; the only way to lower that risk is by relying on user reviews, though those can be easily influenced. If you need to know more about the dangers, it's probably best to skip it.
These games aren't the complete version; many features are missing.
It's just a download so you can try it out and decide whether to purchase the game.
That's the reason I'm reaching out. I'd like to check out some games first, but I don't want to risk anything at the same time.
Thread is now locked. You may return games purchased from Origin and Steam. This message also contradicts the claims made in your original post.
