Over the past three years, Intel i3 chips have lost much of their value. The only solid options I recommend are the i5 9400f, i9 9900K, and possibly the i7 9700K for gaming. The others are nearly worthless. Intel might catch up to the 10th generation, and all processors will support SM or Hyperthreading, matching Ryzen 3000 performance but using power like an electric oven.

They haven't been around much lately. The Ryzen 5 chips are just a bit pricier but still outperform them in every way.
