Hello, I've been attempting to push the 2x8 Vengeance LPX 2666 Micron B-die (CMK16GX4M2Z2666C16) to higher speeds on a B550M Pro with BIOS 4 and 4650G. So far, nothing works. I've updated the BIOS, used XMP settings between 1.35-1.40V, manually adjusted timings with a calculator, tested clock speeds from 2800 to 3200. The system boots but always displays the same error image after loading. When I try higher speeds, it shows a pink/blurry screen and requires a CMOS reset. Even the lowest stable settings cause this issue. I'm unsure what's causing it, but I've read about memory artifacts and unstable behavior—no case matches my setup. Everything seems fine on stock, but I'm not sure what to do next.

The problem occurs when using the integrated GPU. Consider using a dedicated graphics card instead.

it's meant to function, right? this rig doesn't have a GPU yet, at least for now

Thanks for the feedback. It seems you're trying to avoid using a GPU, but it's working well with OCed RAM on your Ryzen APUs. Double-check your setup to ensure everything is correctly installed and configured.

No mistakes made. It handles 2667mhz, but past that point it stops working. Both my Athlon and yours behave the same.

Avoid using the iGPU. Installing a separate card shouldn't cause issues.

Check the link at techpowerup.com for the Ryzen DRAM calculator. Be careful—overclocking isn’t guaranteed and can be risky.

Memory speeds can reach up to 3200MHz, but this depends on the specific APU model. If your system supports it, and the B550M Pro4 offers even faster support, higher clock speeds are possible too.

Ryzen 5 4650G Pro benchmark results with optimized settings (GPU 2250MHz, RAM 4400MHz, I/O 2200MHz) from a professional channel.
