Ping-Pong 1070
Ping-Pong 1070
Hello, I hope you understand. I received a 1070 from Strix around Christmas and everything went smoothly. However, until Wednesday I’ve been seeing strange frame rates—sometimes 17 or even 3 frames per second in GTA V. In Settings, between Ultra and High max FPS are 55-70, while in Destiny 2 it’s 190-90 FPS. Then suddenly it drops to about 20 FPS for a few seconds, after which everything returns. I’m playing in Full-HD with a Ryzen 1600X, and Windows settings are fine. I haven’t checked for bottlenecks or RAM usage since I only have 8GB. Also, I’d like to see the GPU and CPU speeds when under load, but in idle they’re stable at 4017Mhz on all cores. Is this normal? Or is there a driver issue? I just updated my GeForce Experience driver recently, so that could be the cause even though it seems unusual.
Return to the earliest Nvidia driver 417.35. The newest version 417.71 contains issues.
First ensure your system's RAM is sufficient. GTA 5 required a lot of memory when it was released.
I'm working with a Single Channel-2400, while on my previous setup with an 1050 Ti I didn't encounter any issues.
I've already considered this... the last check showed it around 7.9, near the maximum.
I only saw about 6GB RAM usage and 9 FPS in Destiny 2, not sure. A second stick is expected soon—possibly two RGB RAM modules, but we'll find out.
they just dropped a fresh update, i’ll give it a shot and if it doesn’t work, i’ll try the alternative version.
The recent Nvidia driver update mostly resolved the lag issues. However, I’ve identified a new problem in Forza Horizon 3 and 4 Demo – random stuttering and dropping to around 10 fps even at lower resolutions like 720p. After checking Task Manager and my hard drive (a Seagate 7200rpm model), it looks like the storage issue is the main cause. I’m unsure whether upgrading or temporarily disabling loading will help. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
