Pin missing on PSU cables
Pin missing on PSU cables
One is for sata, and the other with the 4 huge pins i dont knoe for what, but both of their 6 pin connectors have missing pins and im not sure if they are safe, there are also no signs of them being ripped out, nor stripped wires behind the missing pins. But i just want to make sure they are safe since yknow, dont want my build do catch on fire lol
The SATA cable features 12V, 5V, 3.3V, and ground connections. The 4-pin Molex peripheral matches these specifications. The missing wire in the 4-pin cable is likely the 3.3V line that isn’t present. You can observe the various wires in the SATA cable image. Yellow represents 12V, red 5V, orange 3.3V, and black ground. The colored wires in the 4-pin peripheral aren’t visible in the photo you shared, but given only four pins on the connector it’s reasonable to deduce their purpose.
