Hey there! So I built my first custom setup about 1.5 years ago using an Asus board with a LED strip that didn’t show up in Aura. I’ve tried all sorts of fixes, but nothing helped. I was too lazy to return it for the warranty, even though it had three years left. They said it was damaged and had bent pins, so my warranty expired. What’s going on? Was something bent during installation or removal? My system worked perfectly for a year before that, with no overheating or problems. Now they won’t even try to fix the LED strip because of this. I’m confused—how could a working board suddenly stop functioning like that? I put the CPU in a frame to make insertion easier, but it was much harder to push down after installation. The shop rep said they didn’t see the bent pins at first and had to ask someone else. So maybe I should just part with it. Asus never let me down again...this time with this board.
The person who reached out attempted to clarify their location, though they also admitted uncertainty about what they were seeing. They mentioned not being able to immediately perceive it clearly, and noted that the details weren’t obvious. I didn’t notice any bent pins.
Apologies, I didn't know you weren't in the USA. I don't have any information about that.
