Hello, your Ubuntu 22.04 home server uses a PIA subscription and OpenVPN for remote access. You're experiencing a problem where the server no longer accepts connections from outside the local network. This might be due to firewall rules or IP restrictions. It’s not necessarily a permanent issue, but you may need to adjust your firewall settings or VPN configuration to allow external traffic. Your goal is to ensure devices using the same PIA account can still connect to the server.

To utilize such a VPN, you must adapt to its requirements. I don’t think it functions the way PIA does. Are you aiming for something specific with this service?

Are you trying to reach your home server but can't because everything is going through PIA? If yes, consider exploring Tailscale with Mullvad. It's not PIA, but it allows access to other devices on your tailnet and routes all remote connections through Mullvad's no-logs servers.
