Do you think physical games are safe, or should you go digital? I’m unsure if the codes from physical copies are genuine. Plus, I worry about sellers opening the cases. If I find out I didn’t receive the CD with the game, what will happen?

Of course, based on your purchase location, you can always opt to replace any damaged or missing items. Avoid buying from questionable second-hand shops; physical copies are acceptable, and you can activate keys in Steam as well as use the digital version. Apart from that, purchasing directly from Steam ensures maximum safety.

Similar to any item, even those sold through official outlets, they can still face issues or defects. However, aside from that, there’s no fundamental reason why purchasing a tangible version is unsafe compared to a digital format, as long as you choose a trustworthy retailer.

I purchase physical games for consoles because they’re much more convenient and safer. If you ever lose access to the server or something similar happens, your games remain safe. Of course, you can still damage them. For PC, I might buy a physical game just to have a backup copy, but usually I go for Steam.

I understand I need to purchase from a trusted shop in my country, and I did. Sadly, my key took too long to arrive—only after 5-6 hours—and my CD was missing.

I enjoy gathering all the cases from my games and plan to purchase a physical copy.
