While watching a video, the iPhone stopped working and restarted to the Apple logo. It displayed the logo repeatedly before going black. I reached recovery mode and connected it to a Windows 11 computer. I installed the latest iTunes from an .exe file instead of the Microsoft Store. The app detected the phone and recommended updating to iOS 16. After clicking update, the file downloaded but installation failed with error 1675. I unplugged and reconnected the iPhone, tried again, but encountered error 4013 during installation. I’m not sure if restoring will work, so I prefer not to use the “restore” option and want to preserve my data without reverting everything.

Check the discussion at the provided link. The suggested solution claims to resolve the issue, but I haven't reviewed the content myself and don't own an Apple Watch.

Thanks! That matches exactly what I was aiming for until then. The error shifted from 1675 to 4013. In the video it mentions clicking "restore" when an update fails, but that would bring everything back to factory settings and wipe all data. That’s why I’m choosing to try the final part as a last resort.

Try to reinstall your iPhone or iPad outside of iTunes by using dr.fone. Save the app on your PC, open it, and select Backup & Restore.
