Hi, welcome to overclocking! I'm just starting out with the Phenom ii x4 955 and want to push it to at least 4GHz. Do you have any advice?

it includes an unlocked multiplier that can be adjusted directly in windows, and the amd overdrive utility is available for installation.

how do you align the memory units? i have two 4GB modules and one 2GB ram.

drop the 1x2gb, use just the kit 2x4. you wouldn't notice the extra 2 gb of ram
