Phantom Display, no Windows startup, NVIDIA drivers required
Hello forum members!, I’m facing a tricky issue that’s really bothering me. My PC ran smoothly for about six hours, but after school it suddenly starts loading Windows to the boot logo and then enters a loading cycle. It hangs around for roughly thirty minutes before showing a small cursor near the bottom left with a white box—just for a couple of seconds, then disappears and reappears. I leave for another half hour, power off the machine using the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe power button, and the PC dies as expected.
After cleaning the dust filters, removing and reinstalling the 4GB DDR3 RAM module, touching the PSU to discharge static, I rebooted the computer. Now only my monitors display 'no video available.' Trying the second monitor didn’t help, and all three GPU video outputs still fail. I hear random beeps, possibly error messages from the motherboard. Eventually, after some time, the PC won’t even reach where it was before, and I can’t log in to Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit.
My specs: AMD Dualcore CPU at 3.00Ghz, MSI 760GM-P21-FX, 4GB RAM (unbranded), NVIDIA Asus Silent Edition GT610, 2GB Corsair 750CXM, PSU from Phanteks Enthoo Luxe (bought two months ago). I don’t have any Windows 8.1 disks, USBS media, or recovery tools—just the Windows 8.1 installation.
I suspect an NVIDIA problem. Please help! Thanks, Brad.
