Hey everyone, I've decided on these two coolers for my FX 8350. I'm aiming to overclock the CPU to around 4.6-4.8, but not too much. I'm open to other ideas but don't want watercooling. I don't mind the appearance since I won't see it, just focusing on top cooling performance.

Specs:
Mobo: Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
GPU: R9 280x
CPU: FX 8350
PSU: XFX pro series 750w
HDD: WD 1TB
CPU cooler: Cooler Master hyper evo 212
Case: Phantek enthroo pro
RAM: crucial tactical tracer 2x4gb, 1600

The D15 is clearly better, mainly because it generates less noise.

But does it offer better cooling? I'm not concerned about the sound.

They both cool down at the same rate, though the Noctua model is marginally quieter.

It was the CRYORIG R1 Ultimate with MX4 thermal. What temperatures do you experience? If you're right, you must be the one with the 5.2ghz fx 8350?
