Hello! I recently purchased a PG42UQ monitor and have encountered text fringing issues. For instance, in Discord the letters appear almost straight with odd colored distortions, which is quite bothersome. I've investigated this topic and found discussions about problems with the RWBG subpixel format not functioning well with Windows. I've attempted to use MacType and BetterClearType to convert text to grayscale, but results have been inconsistent. In Discord, the grayscale anti-aliasing looks somewhat jagged, and I noticed in Forza Horizon 5 that some yellow elements display faint pink and blue lines on the left side. I'm hoping someone here might suggest alternative solutions or if I need to accept the issue and rely on Windows improving its ClearType support. To note: I'm using Windows 11 Pro with a 4090, have updated drivers and firmware already, and the BIOS is set to the latest version (z790 Strix E with a 13900k).
