There seems to be a problem affecting multiple devices, but it might not be a single cause. It’s possible that checking certain components resolved everything. From a technical standpoint, you can assign static IP addresses from an external DHCP pool and use a third-party DNS server at the same time. If issues persist, it likely points to other factors rather than just one setting.

I'll test the static configuration using Google DNS on one of my computers connected via Ethernet and observe the results.

Nothing seems out of place there.

When you used the pfSense setup wizard, did you input any custom DNS settings? Regarding the rule for blocking RFC1918 traffic, your device appears to automatically use the 192.168.100.1 LAN IP address in bridge mode—so you shouldn’t enable that specific rule.

It’s unclear what you mean by the instructions. You’re asking whether you should enable something despite conflicting guidance about activation. Clarify your requirements for a clear response.
