CD readers operate via SATA, meaning any motherboard should be compatible. Apart from that, I suggest using an external USB floppy drive if necessary, as most internal ones rely on IDE, which isn't supported by current hardware. If you locate a model supporting USB or SATA, then any motherboard will function.
