I adjusted my SOC voltage manually to 1.1v in the BIOS, while leaving the auto settings at their default of 1.025v (Hwinfo64 shows around 1.018v). I kept my RAM speeds unchanged and didn’t enable XMP. I played Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd, and a modified Skyrim SE for over an hour each time—no crashes occurred. Then I increased the SOC voltage slightly to 1.125v, still without any issues. My guess is that not activating XMP for this RAM caused it to run low on voltage, leading to system instability, especially with the GPU, which eventually caused a reboot.

Updates and improvements applied based on your previous discussion. The problem persists despite changes. I'm investigating possible GPU issues, especially with the RX 5600 XT. I'll reach out to the seller about a replacement if needed.

I also had an issue. When I woke up, my computer powered down while I was folding in the early hours. It seems adjusting the SoC voltage to 1.125v wasn't what I expected. I thought raising it to 1.15v might help. I've been told that even 1.2v is acceptable for Ryzen 5000 models, but since I enjoy undervolting my CPU and GPU, I'm hesitant about pushing them too high. I’m hoping a new GPU replacement could resolve the problem. Fortunately, prices have improved compared to last year—maybe you can find a better deal. If you're able, the RX 6700XT or 6750XT seem like solid options right now.

I still get solid results with my RX580 and R5 3600 on the games I enjoy (like Genshin Impact, Skyrim, and Destiny 2). I bought the RX5600XT because the original RX580 would sometimes freeze up in black screen mode, and it’s also getting outdated. I wasn’t sure the RX5600XT would hold up either. I might switch to a green build next time, as it could use more CUDA cores. Regarding your folding work, do you rely more on CPU or GPU performance?

The GPU handles more tasks than the CPU, which is similar to what gaming and folding share in demand. Both processors are running quite intensely—CPU usage typically stays around 80% or higher on both setups. My primary machine uses an R9 5900X with an RTX 2060 Super, while my secondary setup features an i5 9600K paired with an RTX 4060. Only the first system has problems, and I used to fold there with an older i5 9600K and the same GPU. Previously, I never experienced issues then. This seems to point more toward the combination of Ryzen and GPU together rather than just one component. Still, it doesn’t clarify why mining worked so well on my newer setup despite similar workloads.
