My current computer configuration includes a GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and an Intel Core i7-2600 processor with 8GB of RAM, and a single hard drive. Considering my gaming habits – specifically playing demanding titles like DayZ, Arma 3, and Rust – I experience performance issues, primarily noticeable stuttering and occasional freezes despite achieving respectable frame rates. During gameplay in DayZ, my FPS fluctuates dramatically, often jumping from 100 frames per second to just 10 or complete freezes, which significantly detracts from my experience. I’m primarily interested in finding solutions that don't involve replacing the CPU or graphics card; instead, I’m seeking advice on whether a RAM or solid-state drive upgrade – or both – could address the underlying causes of these problems.

A solid-state drive will undoubtedly improve performance with Windows, resulting in a significant enhancement to your computer’s overall operation. Experiment by lowering your graphics settings to the minimum level and observe if that alleviates the stuttering.
