I'm clearing out my PC and performing a factory reset now, since I'm using Windows 7. I've used Windows 10 on my laptop and other people's computers, and I really don't like it. Would you like me to upgrade it back to Windows 10 when it re-downloads everything, including the operating system?

They function differently from PCs. Clearing it and reinstalling Windows 7 will keep using Windows 7.

I understand that when you enable Windows with your key, the update process behaves similarly to applying service packs. I haven't tried this with Windows 7, only with Windows 8.1 during a free upgrade period, which might affect my explanation.

I enabled Win10 using my key and returned to version 7, but it only kept showing me the Win10 installer again—never through Windows Update.
