Also, some folks seem frustrated with the 'high, very high, and ultra' options instead of 'low, medium, and high.' My OCD kicks in when I spot 'medium' as the smallest setting.

I'm experiencing a really poor performance on my PC. With two GTX 780 graphics cards, I thought I could run the game at full settings in 1080p, but it's not working that way. The experience is far from smooth—it's quite frustrating. Even with just 2x MSAA at 1080p, the frame rate keeps changing wildly, leading to a very choppy playthrough. Playing at 30fps gives a much better feel, which is why I chose to test it back then. It looks like this game engine struggles to maintain anything above 30 frames per second.
