Performance review for Assassin's Creed on PC platform
The bad port remains preferable compared to the console version running at low configurations, achieving 900p or 24-30fps.
I'm experiencing a really poor performance on my PC. With two GTX 780 graphics cards, I thought I could run the game at full settings in 1080p, but it's not working that way. The experience is far from smooth—it's quite frustrating. Even with just 2x MSAA at 1080p, the frame rate keeps changing wildly, leading to a very choppy playthrough. Playing at 30fps gives a much better feel, which is why I chose to test it back then. It looks like this game engine struggles to maintain anything above 30 frames per second.
