I've seen my FPS on Rust drop significantly even though it was running smoothly on a 1060. Now with better hardware, I'm only hitting 50-80 FPS, and the changes in settings barely affect performance—just a small 5 FPS swing between max and low. It's odd. I've adjusted all NVIDIA controls to peak performance and used my 2080, but the issue persists. My GPU is busy at about 60-70% and the CPU around 28-40%.

You're uncertain about the details, but I confirm the latest NVIDIA driver version is 446.14.

I didn't build a whole new PC, I just upgraded the GPU.

Look for the section labeled "Bios" or "About Me" in your profile settings. It should be listed there.

Rust is merely inefficient memory handling, it's entertaining yet they failed to optimize it well... My friends with an i7-5820K and a 1080 combo achieved similar frame rates to my Athlon X4 860K and GTX 960...
