Performance problems with Ryzen 7 2700X processor
Using dual channel significantly improves results. Your current speed is usually around 3000-3200 Mbps, which is typical today, while 3600 Mbps is expected soon.
Consider upgrading the memory first, that should be the case.
Well... I’m not entirely sure. The difference between single and dual channel gaming sources isn’t huge here. He’s suggesting all games run at low graphics settings and still hit around 150 FPS on CSS/CSGO using the same engine. I really doubt memory channels are affecting performance in this case. Think about it—GTA 5 at 50fps with 1080p, I can go to 4K on high settings with a GTX 980. In short, I’m not convinced it’s a hardware problem.
We might be facing a CPU or memory bottleneck rather than a GPU issue. It seems the GPU isn’t being used efficiently. The person in another discussion (the 1600/V64) improved performance after resolving a hardware reservation problem, which affected their single-channel memory speed. This issue appears similar—slow single-channel memory affecting overall speed.
You might be correct, but I still performed a fresh installation to ensure all drivers were removed. It didn’t seem to resolve the issue. I can’t identify the specific software blocking me.
