Hey everyone, a while back I had to upgrade from a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 to an Asus TUF Gaming F15. The new machine came with an i5-12500H RTX3050 and similar specs, but I thought upgrading the CPU would give me more headroom for future needs. After some troubleshooting—checking power settings, using the built-in GPU MUX, switching game modes, even restarting—I still faced issues. My OBS would spike to 75-80% CPU usage and wouldn’t drop. The CPU would hit around 4.2GHz across all cores, often reaching 83°C during stress tests. Even though the software stayed the same and I kept the same executables, the performance didn’t improve enough. Now I’m stuck with a laptop that works just fine but can’t handle smooth streaming at 13fps. Any thoughts on what might be limiting things here?
