Performance problems reported with Assassin's Creed Unity.
I purchased Assassins Creed Unity for my PC with hopes of enjoying it at a decent quality setting on 1920x1080p at 60fps. My mid-range system only supports 1280x720 resolution, and even then I struggle to maintain 30 fps. I suspected the issue might be related to my graphics card drivers, so I reinstalled the NVIDIA drivers and tried again—still no success. After some research, I discovered the game requires a GTX 680 minimum, which shocked me and made me question if it was a joke. A $500 graphics card to play this game seems unreasonable. Right now, the only hope is that the modding community might create custom files to simplify the experience. I checked my options and wondered if it’s too early for this title to be modifiable.
You might hope for improved optimization, but AC: Unity is merely a poor console port.
It's not a great console adaptation. The game performs poorly there, especially on Xbox, which struggles at 25 fps and drops to 20. The PS4 is a bit better, around 28 fps but still dips to 24.
Sorry man, but it's important to stay current. Most people understand not to purchase Ubisoft titles until they're reviewed and you grasp what you're getting yourself into. Over the past few years, Ubisoft games have mostly been disappointing, except for Far Cry 3 and Splintercell Black List. I'm sure Far Cry 4 will be...well, at least it has a PC port.
yeah I was one of the idiots who pre-ordered this game lol. Learned my lesson today
I suffered a burn from the watch dogs, but I paid 70 for the deluxe version—don’t worry about it.
