Consider the possibility of overclocking with certain B85/H97 boards. Review your BIOS settings for more information. If you decide to proceed, opt for a "K"-series CPU paired with a Z-series chipset board; otherwise, it may not be worthwhile.
If this pattern keeps up...DX12 is a mess...high-quality games are becoming extremely demanding across all areas...CPU cores, RAM performance and consumption, etc... I believe if this trend persists next year, I’ll consider retiring my i7-4770K for a more powerful option like an i7-4770K hexa-core Skylake-X or something similar.
I resolved the problem by disabling Chrome during playback, and now performance stays around 55 frames per second.
It's not garbage, it's just often misinterpreted. The goal is to lower CPU usage and boost parallel processing. Nvidia accomplished this with DX11, while AMD experiences significant overhead under DX11, making DX12 a better choice for them. This approach functions effectively. Without further tweaks in the Nvidia driver and without DX12 for AMD, performance would actually decline even more. Much worse. Therefore, a strong CPU remains essential. DX12 isn't suited for handling game logic, AI, physics, etc.
