I've noticed poor performance after using my laptop on battery power. For example, 100fps to 10fps in CS2, 300fps to 20fps in CS:GO Legacy, and 200fps to 60fps in Minecraft Java Fall Guys. The lag remains consistent whether plugged in or on battery. My setup includes an Alienware M15 with Nvidia GTX 1060, Intel Core i7 8750H, 16GB RAM, SSDs, and a 256GB HDD. I've tried checking Nvidia Control Panel settings, ran benchmarks with Cinebench and 3D Mark (score: 520), done Memtest 86 (passed), reinstalled drivers, and updated Windows. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Alienware has issued a shutdown command to every laptop they provide. ... Haha, verify your Windows and/or BIOS power configurations to ensure they’re optimized for maximum performance while connected and at your selected battery level. Do Alienware offer a dedicated power settings tool? That could be another area to explore.

Dell laptops equipped with 8th Gen Intel CPUs sometimes face unusual power restrictions. Consider using ThrottleStop 9.6 at https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tec...rottlestop. Capture screenshots of the main window, FIVR and TPL windows during throttling. Enable the Log File option on the main screen to keep a record of CPU performance. Any reasons for throttling will be saved in the log file. After testing, close ThrottleStop so it can complete logging. The resulting file should be located in the ThrottleStop / Logs directory. Include a log file and screenshots with your next post for reference on your settings. Some Dell power limit issues can be resolved by properly configuring ThrottleStop. Dell now uses an embedded controller (EC) in their 8th Gen models, which can enforce low power limits on the CPU. This may harm performance and lock the CPU to its minimum speed for long periods, rendering the device unsuitable for gaming. There’s no straightforward solution for EC-related throttling. Share ThrottleStop data if you need further details.

The battery configurations remained unchanged, still configured for Maximum Performance as defined in Windows 2023-11-20.txt.

You need to share screenshots and log information while your CPU is being throttled. The images and logs indicate the CPU operates at its maximum rated speed. Look into the MMIO Lock section to remove the 45W power cap for MMIO PL1. Record the timestamp, percentage change, and temperature values. Note the values at different intervals: 39.31, 39.24, 38.92, etc. The CPU hit 100°C briefly but only briefly. Provide additional data showing when throttling occurs. Make sure to terminate ThrottleStop after testing so all results are saved in the log file.

One of the simplest solutions was found. Thanks to all who attempted to resolve my issue.
