Performance Problems
I've faced this issue for a long time. Despite replacing most parts of my PC, these problems persist. In every game I play, I consistently see around 100 or higher FPS on high-ultra, but suddenly drop to 60-70 Fps for a brief moment before returning. This occurs in nearly all games I play—Deadbydaylight, CS Go, Rainbow Six Siege, Beamng Drive, Forza Horizon 5, Tomb Raider, etc.—and it happens everywhere. I've tested almost every possible solution, starting from adjusting settings (even at very low FPS), but the drops still occur. In Deadbydaylight, I notice significant lag at the start of matches (about 2 to 3 minutes) before the game runs smoothly afterward. In other games, the drops happen throughout the match. I've tried capping FPS at 75 or 60, but it doesn't help. If I stick to 60 FPS, the same issues persist, only with lower frame rates (40-50). I've also reinstalled Windows and followed numerous tutorials, yet nothing worked.
The potential causes I'm considering are either RAM memory (I could upgrade to 16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz) or the motherboard's BIOS (it hasn't been changed and is from 2016).
My setup includes a motherboard ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Professional Gaming I7, a PSU Corsair CV650, an i7 6700k processor, a Msi Aero GTX 1080 Ti GPU, 32gb RAM at 2400mhz DDR4, 128gb SSD (currently half full), one 1tb HDD, and four fans functioning without overheating concerns. The operating system is Windows 10. I’m reaching out for advice on resolving any issues, even if it means modifying some parts. Appreciate it if anyone takes the time to read this.
