Hey guys, i'm playing BF5 times to times (lately i play a lot more than few months ago) and i noticed that the game is running less well than before, like a lot. I have an i5 8400, 16gb of ram at 3000mhz and a GTX 1060 6gb (i disabled the overclock) and sometimes the fps drop to 43 with the high settings, i remember that the game never dropped below 55fps before.
Also i spoke with some players and it seems this is a general issue, that and a lot more bugs than before (some previous bug fixed which appears again and some new ones).
What do you think about it ?
(it's important to tell that the driver i was using is the 430.64, i'll update my gpu driver later and let you know if there's a difference or not)

If others in a big group are having the same issue, it might be related to bugs. It worked fine before, right? And what about the drivers?

It worked quite well a few months back too, but after updating my drivers, the performance didn't improve. You're likely correct.

I just switched the API (from DX11 to DX12) since I'm using a Pascal GPU, and the game runs much smoother now compared to before.

Not intended for BFV. Even during its release, DX12 performed better. It stood out as one of the rare exceptions. The only similar game that comes to mind is Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Updates/patches, although meant to fix problems, poorly designed patches can sometimes introduce new problems. Common issue with any game you play. All you can do is search for a work around.

That's correct. I also occasionally face significant stuttering issues. Have anyone else encountered the same problem?

I don't own Battlefield V, but I'm familiar with stutters in that game. Do you experience them in other titles as well? When they occur, do you notice FPS drops or more like lag? I once shared a video with someone who had stutters in Battlefield V—it helped them at the time... it got 2,200 likes and 349 dislikes. Another video has 154 likes and 9 dislikes; maybe it could be useful too... Both posts were from mid-December of last year, so there might have been recent updates that haven't introduced new problems. Good luck!

Some other titles such as Just Cause 3 or Batman Arkham Knight occasionally have minor stutters, but generally well-optimized games perform smoothly without issues (like Star Wars Battlefront 2, Steep, Rage 2, or Monster Hunter World). Using rivatunner helped me track the FPS and notice drops to around 40fps during stutters, which felt like lag. I plan to follow these guides and adjust settings in the application properties, which significantly reduced the stuttering. I hope installing the FPS boost pack will permanently fix the problem! Thank you very much for your assistance—I'll update you once everything is set up.

I won't be using the files from the first video anymore. Many players said it wouldn't work due to the updates, and it seems the game's performance problems became more noticeable after the firestorm update. This battle royale attracted a lot of users, but there were many issues and less content than we expected for regular multiplayer.
