Hi, I’ve played Witcher 3 for around 74 hours using a 970 and an i7 2700k @4.4. Throughout the session it ran at 40 fpss, though there were moments when it hit 60-70 fps. Lowering the graphics settings from ultra to low didn’t make much of a difference. This issue has been bothering me for some time, and I haven’t found a solution yet. Also, I just tested the game on version 1.06 recently.

Hairworks seems pretty disappointing, honestly.

All configurations are at their limits, some are being reset. At 1080p it barely drops below 60fps most of the time.

I assume the game reaches 60fps in Novigrad and Skellige. Adjusting the distant foliage setting makes a big difference—hardware struggles most with it. The next biggest impact comes from shadows, but switching from low to ultra adds only about 4 fps. Reducing it further to high gives nearly a 10 fps boost compared to the lower setting.

It happened when the game stopped reaching 60 and kept stuck at 40 even with low settings
