you got your gtx 690 recently and have been experimenting with it. you observed that beamng.drive is using just one of the two gpus on the card, which leads to poor performance. why is that?

I don't think it supports SLI.

Yes, the 690 is essentially two 680s joined onto one PCB.

I understand it's true, but I believed merging them could work for games without SLI... I was mistaken.

It works well even when only one GPU is active. Most of what I play is Overwatch, which fully supports it, so I'm comfortable with it.
I really enjoy the card game too—it feels like an upgrade for my 780Ti when playing SLI titles.
