Typically while I play Minecraft on Windows, I experience 600-2000fps with my 6700xt. After switching to Ubuntu 20.04, performance drops to around 10FPS. When I press F3, the system identifies my GPU as "llvmpipe LLVM 12".

Do you have the open source NVIDIA drivers or the correct ones? (Note: the open source versions are not great) EDIT: 6700xt is AMD...overlook my remark There are official AMD drivers available: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/releas...inux-20-50 Are your GPU drivers current?

I understand your issue. The first kernel that comes with your card is 5.12, and 20.04 ships with a lower version. Upgrade to the newest Ubuntu release (21.10).
