I need to assemble a PC for your sister and her son that can handle games at low settings with smooth FPS. The budget is around 250€, and I’ll be purchasing from Germany (Hardwareversand or Mindfactory). I’m considering an A8-7600 MSI A68HM-P33 with 2x 2gb 1600MHz RAM, a 1tb HDD, and an Antec vp350 case. The monitor will be 1400x900, and the games include FIFA 15, NBA 2K15, Virtua Tennis 4, Grid NFS, and Carbon. What FPS should this setup achieve in those titles?

It should handle those titles at about 40 frames per second, with a bit of variation. I believe you could find a better graphics card for that budget.

You doubt dual-channel benefits? Higher RAM speed could make an APU more powerful. Jay shared a video suggesting 1866MHz/2100MHz is ideal. Speed helps, but the benefits diminish once you go beyond that point.

It’s outside my budget and IGPU support isn’t available on the i3. That’s why I chose an APU to enable playable FPS with IGPU.
