Checking the current voltage readings. The cooler seems to be updated. The CPU and IHS temperature sensors appear outdated. Besides, are the CPU fans operating at full capacity during these temperatures? Is there any way to enhance case ventilation or run a test without the side panel?

Because of the XMP, I completely forgot the distinction between TDP and clock, right?

For my wife's computer, I gave my old 4790K a fresh boost by removing the case.

I completed the test using Cinebench R20 with default options. The results stayed below 90 degrees, avoiding any significant temperature spikes during the initial execution.

You might adjust the cooler position and reapply thermal paste, then test. Generally, as long as it’s stable, 70°C works just fine.

While gaming, your GPU's warmth can significantly raise your CPU temperatures, particularly when the case doesn't provide enough airflow.

This setup could contribute to the issue. I'm using a NZXT H440 with several intake and exhaust fans, but I believe my 1660 model doesn’t generate excessive heat—it usually stays under 70°C even at full load. I’ve slightly boosted its performance, though it still performs better than some cases I’ve seen. Compared to options like the Meshify C, it might not handle airflow as well.

While reviewing this information, I noticed the CPU maximum from MSI Afterburner is currently at 89 degrees. I suspect I might have mistakenly checked the usage graph instead of the actual max value, which could explain why it showed 100. I’m not certain if this happened, but I doubt the temperature reading would shift randomly. Thanks to everyone for your support and insights on this issue—hopefully I won’t repeat the mistake. Have a great day!
