Hey there, hope you're doing okay. Your laptop is starting to lag and the frame rate is dropping significantly. On the Nvidia overlay panel, the GPU usage is at 100% while the CPU is idle. The games running are FIFA 23 and GTA V. On MSI GS73VR 7VRG with an Nvidia 1070 maxQ i7-7700HQ, I'm asking for help. Thanks in advance.

Did you review temperatures, perform updates, carry out maintenance, or analyze component dependencies without encountering issues?

Run hwinfo on the sensors during stuttering. The CPU is likely throttling, probably due to heat. If you need analysis, share a screen capture of the sensor data.

The GPU temperature is 50 degrees (122°F). Windows has been updated and display drivers are current, with graphics drivers also refreshed. Thank you for your reply.

Your GPU is using all available resources, which means it's operating very slowly. This causes the CPU to have minimal activity since the GPU is handling most of the workload.

When CPU activity stands at zero, the device shuts down. The problem probably lies in how programs interpret system resource use (some readings aren't reliable).

I thought it was an exaggeration. I’d like a HWiNFO report, though I noticed Nvidia’s metrics often match or exceed what Task Manager shows.
