So as the title indicates, I'm facing a CPU bottleneck issue. My processor is connected with an RTX 2070 and in Battlefield 2042 it stays at full capacity while my GPU operates between 50-70%. I've attempted to overclock the CPU up to 4.7GHZ but it didn't help. Taking a break from the PC didn't improve things either. In-game temperatures hover around 60-70°C during high settings, and my FPS drops to 50-40 while others with less powerful systems are performing better. I recall trying Cyberpunk about a month ago and experiencing the same bottleneck—my CPU was at 99% while the GPU was only 0-20%. My PC specs include a Gigabyte Z390UD, an I7-9700K, a Corsair H60 (2018), 16GB single-channel 2666MHz RAM, a 650W PSU, and three SSDs. *I shared an image from Nvidia's performance overlay while playing Battlefield 2042.*

my ram is definitely the issue, but i wouldn't be surprised if 2042 fills up a 9700k anyway. using single sticks usually slows down the cpu by 30-40%. in your situation, it's probably just a speed or channel problem—anything under 90fps should work as long as your gpu isn't at 100%. i really need to test the beta to see the real impact lol.
