Performance issues with USB-C devices connecting to both USB and Ethernet ports?
I'm streaming from OBS in Bootcamp (Windows 10) on a MBP (2018). (I know, just go with it). I have an old USB-C to Ethernet adapter and a 3-USB A dongle. Sometimes the Ethernet connection fails when handling heavy data, especially in Windows and MacOS. I'm curious if anyone has checked actual speed and limits for these adapters. My concern is whether the adapter itself might be the issue, not just my setup. I'm wondering if a Thunderbolt 3 to Gigabit adapter would work better. Amazon reviews for the Belkin USB-C to Ethernet are mixed, but the Apple Store version seems reliable. Is chaining a TB3 to TB2 to an Apple Gigabit adapter really a bad idea? I'm an Apple fan but need Mac software for advanced printing. Need some advice. Thanks.
