Hello, your recent upgrade from an RTX 3070TI to a RX 9070XT has significantly boosted performance in AAA games. MH Wilds now runs at full frame with Ray Tracing enabled. However, your favorite game CS2 is struggling—your frame rate dropped from around 300 to just 170, and the stuttering makes it feel like only about 50 FPS. Reviewers' benchmarks suggest this might be unusual, especially at 1440p where you expect around 400 FPS. I don’t know the exact cause, but any advice would be greatly appreciated. Your system specs include 9800x3d resolution, 32GB DDR5 6000, and a PCIe Gen 4 M.2 slot. Thanks for reaching out!

Have you verified GPU and CPU activity with tools like Intel PresentMon? With a 9800X3D, you shouldn't face CPU constraints.

If you're new to AMD drivers you have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. Make sure you dive into the driver and settings for that specific game and do some experimenting. Try using "chill" and setting it to 200fps or whatever your monitor refresh rate is. Also make sure you have resizeable bar turned on in your BIOS, and your windows install is

CPU performance dropped significantly in the 20% range, while GPU usage remained low around the 30-50% threshold.

I saw a review where someone pointed out that CS2 didn't perform well.

This project was indeed Hardware Unboxed, yet their tests still showed performance in the 400s.

Running DDU appears to fix the stuttering issue. I'm still hitting only 300FPS, which is a 30% drop from benchmarks, but that's playable now and it's completely smooth.

GPU consumption between 30–50% indicates a constraint on the GPU. Intel PerfMon can help reveal the cause, possibly CPU, RAM, or another component. Overall CPU usage isn't useful here; focus on each core individually. If a core reaches 100%, your CPU is the bottleneck, regardless of idle cores elsewhere.

Latest version now supports Windows 11, and I’m seeing improved reviewer benchmark scores in CS2. Around 500 FPS at the current settings. Still puzzling why this fixed the issue, but looks good. Thanks for all the feedback!
