Details: Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz Graphics: 3060ti RAM: Silicon Power GAMING 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory MB: MSI B550-A PRO PSU: MSI MPG A650GF 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply Apologies if this isn't the right place, please guide me. I assembled my system in September 2021. When I first started playing games like Rocket League, several apps could run simultaneously (Discord, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Spotify/ iTunes, Netflix, etc.), and Rocket League maintained around 240 fps consistently. Recently, performance has noticeably dropped. Now I can only play Rocket League if I disable other programs—anything else slows things down. Other problems: Over the past year, my PC has become much less responsive. If Chrome or Discord is open, I experience frequent stutters and frame drops, with FPS dropping from 240 to as low as 30. Additionally, my system has been acting oddly when it sleeps: it stays responsive until a hard reboot, then needs several restarts to boot normally. During these events, the EZ Debug light would light up indicating a CPU issue. What I've tried so far: Cleaning inside the case, checking temperatures with HWMonitor and Task Manager (CPU never exceeds 40% during Rocket League, but spikes in Task Manager), turning off hardware acceleration for background apps, setting Rocket League to high priority, moving it to M.2, reinstalling drivers via Safe Mode, updating BIOS, reinstalling Windows, sending the PC to a repair shop, and even getting a CPU replacement from a local technician. After the RMA, the same problems continue. I suspect the motherboard might be the source. I’m unsure what to do next, but I’d appreciate advice on how to diagnose the faulty part so I can restore my PC to working condition. Thank you very much.

Welcome to the Forums! Do you have a hard drive in your system? I've found that if Windows accesses a hard drive that it can result in system lock ups if the hard drive has spun down or if it's damaged. Usually, that's only a lock-up for Windows Explorer (which includes the Taskbar), but if you have applications running on the hard drive, they could also lock up if something's wrong with it.

I have an M.2 NVMe SSD and a 2.5 SATA SSD. The names might be a bit confusing.
