It's odd how my PS4 downloads work differently depending on the device. On my PS4 I get around 15 Mbps and games load fine, but on my PC it’s slow—rarely reaching 10 Mbps and taking a long time. The strangest part is my speed test showed 20 Mbps. That might help, though I’m not sure. I live in New Zealand.

Check if your computer is linked straight to the router. Remember, using a wired adapter can limit speed compared to a direct connection.

It might be the hardware issue. Is your PC linked via an Ethernet cable? It could be related to your hard drive, memory, or even just bad luck. What are your specifications?

I have a stable Wi-Fi connection, and the computer performs well, but the hard drive might be limiting performance since they are only using HDDs.

Ensure your PC is linked via an Ethernet connection, and for better speed consider using an SSD.

Fortunately, I possess the SSD for Windows; my HDD is solely used for gaming.

Just purchase an Ethernet cable and connect it to your router. It should be quite straightforward and result in a much faster internet connection.
