You're experiencing confusion about performance differences between your new and old PCs. It's normal to feel puzzled when speeds seem inconsistent. Let me help clarify possible reasons.

My old PC lacks a graphics card, has an i5 4590, 16GB DDR3 RAM, and a Gigabyte GA-Z937X-Gaming 3 motherboard. My new PC features a GTX 1070, Ryzen 7 3700X, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and an ASUS TUF-Plus x570 motherboard. I performed a speed test on the new machine and received around 18 ping, 100 Mbps download, and 2 Mbps upload. On the old PC, results matched what I expected from my internet connection—350 Mbps download and 30 Mbps upload. I’m confused and frustrated, especially since my new PC shows much better performance.

The sole network adapter I possess is named "Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller" and it runs the latest version.

Have you attempted to start another operating system and performed a speed test? For example, using Ubuntu.
