Hey, I see you're going through a tough time with your system. It sounds like you're putting in a lot of effort and still not seeing the results you expect. Let's figure this out together. You mentioned using an Intel 10400 and switching to a 10600k, but it seems like the performance hasn't improved much. The benchmarks show low scores, and your memory is stuck at 2666MHz, which might be limiting things. Have you checked if the BIOS settings are correct? Also, consider whether the CPU overclocking section is properly enabled or if there are any conflicts with other drivers. If you're still stuck, maybe try a different motherboard or check for firmware updates. Let me know what you find!

Getting 10k on a brand new setup is typical, especially with regular software and background processes running. The score drops noticeably compared to what it could be. You essentially got the same CPU as before, so any gains are minimal unless you're doing serious overclocking.

Someone mentioned possibly checking the BIOS settings on newer Intel CPUs, especially those in the B series, to enable turbo or boost speeds when using updated hardware. Others suggest this might be an option for users with older systems as well. Confirm if you're correct and let me know if you need more details.

Varies by setup but sometimes you can keep the CPU running at maximum for extended periods, after which the 10600K starts to gain a noticeable edge. Otherwise, it's around a 10% boost when pushing all the way up to 20% power.

The settings you need to adjust are the power caps (often referred to as PL1 and PL2 or Short Term and Long Term limits) and the boost time (sometimes called PL2 duration or Short Term Power length). Pushing them to their maximum should let the CPU increase without limit, provided the motherboard VRMs remain stable.

It's good to hear you're aware, but I can't recall the specific name.

Thanks for the update. I only received the 10600k as planned, since I was thinking about boosting performance a bit. I hadn’t used an Intel CPU recently and didn’t realize how much tighter their restrictions are compared to AMD. It’s a brand new system, running on the MSI B460M WiFi. The documentation mentions "core boost," which might help push it to higher settings longer. Appreciate the advice!

Open R23 and navigate to task manager, then select details. Adjust the priority to high for cinebench.exe across all systems. Uncertain about the reason, but it seems the installer was via the Microsoft Store on Windows 11.

Thanks, it helped bring my score near 9000. That should be the best I can achieve on this restricted board.
