Your system setup includes an MSI B650 Edge Wifi motherboard with BIOS version 7E10v14. The RAM is running at 6000MHz/MT, which seems normal. However, booting takes a long time and sometimes fails entirely. The two LEDs on the top two debug LEDs indicate CPU and RAM status, typically clearing after a short period. This issue may relate to memory configuration or power management settings rather than general memory training.
This relates to memory training techniques. Certain setups require up to 6 minutes before posting with DDR5, while mine completes in about 20-30 seconds. It's normal to notice delays of up to 2 minutes. This is just a reflection of how DDR5 and AM5 function.
Adjust the Memory Context in BIOS. I fixed it a few nights ago and now boots in under 15 seconds. Follow these steps: Advanced BIOS (F2) > Settings Tab > AMD CBS > UMC Common Options > DDR Options > DDR Memory Features > Memory Context Restore > Enable it.
I resolved this by turning off XMP and keeping it at the standard 4800MHz until AMD addresses the issue. Also, check the latest BIOS updates for your motherboard.
Have you used the technique I shared? It supports XMP profiles and significantly reduces startup times.
I became annoyed handling it and decided to keep it as it was, checking for future BIOS updates for my motherboard. The latest BIOS now supports 6000MHz and fast boot times without delays. I believe MSI likely succeeded with this release, though it remains in beta testing.
