Hello everyone. I just purchased a new desktop and encountered some FPS issues while playing my favorite titles. My setup includes: motherboard - Asus Prime X399, graphics card - RTX 2080 Ti 11GB, CPU - Threadripper 2970WX (24 cores/48 threads), RAM - 64GB at 2600GHz. I've updated all drivers and BIOS, overclocked the CPU, and experimented with the NVIDIA control panel. The problem is consistently low FPS in games like Arma 3 (15-29 FPS) and Escape from Tarkov (30-45 FPS). Other games are running smoothly at 75-120 FPS with frame limits or VSync enabled.

Activate game mode – you’re facing problems because of the two NUMA nodes.

Hello! Glad you reached out. I attempted the fix, but it didn’t make any difference in either game.

With a powerful gaming rig, you'd likely see over 120 frames per second, especially with higher resolutions. Have you refreshed the system's firmware?

I use a 75 Hz monitor with a resolution of 2056 x 1080, and the BIOS is current. Nothing seems to be happening.

No, I haven't explored those settings yet. The usage rates during games indicate how much system resources are being consumed by the application.

I agree too. I also rely on process lasso to verify the predecessor affinity and assess my CPU cores. Everything functions as expected.

Process Lasso offers advanced tools to optimize system performance. The 'smart trim' function manages background processes by reducing their working sets, helping free up memory. You can verify this behavior by searching for "resource monitor" in the search bar. Another option is the Pro balance feature, which adjusts priority levels for applications that consume threads, allowing exclusions for specific programs like games. These tools are available within Process Lasso and can also be accessed via Park Control, a companion app from the same developer. After installation, configure each game to use "bitsum highest performance" in Process Lasso for optimal results.
