Just try at least. No point in not. They could have released a non-beta build that fixes it you never know. And from experience beta builds beat the crap out of my laptop and make it see the after-life so I never have tried it again.

This would require a full Windows reinstall and all my applications would need to be reset. It wouldn't fix the issue since I previously had to reinstall Windows from scratch and the same problem occurred there too. It's been this way for a long time, and I prefer the insider build because it lets me try new features like the phone webcam early. I can tolerate occasional GSOD if it means accessing those early updates. Edited April 12, 2024 by Likeusb Added reasoning for sticking with the insider version

When using release preview or beta channels, no deletions are required. For Dev channel, a fresh installation is necessary before downgrading from a higher Windows version to a lower one. To downgrade from an insider Dev build with a newer Windows version to the stable build with an older version, you must perform a clean install of Windows.

It would likely take weeks or months before I’m free of it. Reinstalling everything was a hassle last time—it took three days—and now I’d rather skip that trouble since I’m back with everything I need and want.

Space limited for creating backups on almost anything unless I need to wait 12 hours for a HDD backup (worst case). The issue probably isn’t from the insider build, so I didn’t want to bring it up. I’d rather solve something unrelated to an insider build and stay on one instead.

The frequent fix involves disabling hardware acceleration. Using Thorium may contribute to this problem. Changing to Edge or Chrome resolves it.

It seems the issue might be related to disabling hardware acceleration in WebGL.

I'm also facing issues with AV1 decoding. Please install this Chrome extension and turn on "block AV1".
